Why does soxes use C#?
C-Sharp (C#) is an object-oriented, universally applicable programming language. C-Sharp is characterised by a strong typification and concepts that are based on Java, C/C++ and Delphi. The programming language developed by Microsoft integrates into the .NET ecosystem and thus enables cross-platform development for applications on Windows, macOS and Linux as well as web applications. An extensive class library supports, for example, TCP/IP socket programming, the creation of graphical interfaces or interfaces for web applications.
The universal applicability and the large class library make C# an all-round technology. soxes uses C# in all areas where agility and a wide range of possibilities are required. Thanks to the .NET ecosystem, soxes can create desktop, server and web applications or even REST APIs with C#. This simplifies development, for example, when a web as well as a desktop version is required. soxes also often uses a technology bundle of C#, ASP.NET and SQL server when modernising Delphi software, for example, in order to update the software to the latest technological standards.
Where has soxes used C#?
soxes uses C# very often in projects. For example, an existing Delphi software was reengineered on order of Wilux Print AG. In this project, soxes migrated from Delphi to C# to modernise the existing printing, scanning and labelling solution for large production facilities. Furthermore, we implemented a complete ERP system with TESTEX ULU to support all processes from order placement and planning to the execution and reporting of chemical and physical quality tests for textiles. The solution has been in use since 2016 and is continuously being further developed by soxes.
