The application was implemented with a PostgreSQL database. In a later refactoring, the data model was fundamentally revised to better reflect fund-of-fund structures. The scalability and non-relational properties of the PostgreSQL database were very useful here. soxes was able to make the necessary adjustments without having to resort to new technologies.
