The Global Refco App
REFCO’s product range includes various items to support technicians in their everyday work. The latest generation of products takes the step towards digitalisation: the tools can be connected to each other via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and the measured data can be transmitted in this way.
Smart application for data processing
soxes has developed the “REFMESH” app for iOS and Android systems for REFCO. With this, the technician can connect to REFCO devices on site and read measured data in real time, fill out customer reports or transfer and display measurements logged over a longer period of time. The app offers many functions for the management and use of log data. The data can also be used directly to create reports. Created reports are saved in the app and can be sent directly to the customer as a PDF. In addition to measurement data and reports, the app can also be used to virtually manage REFCO devices. This includes device registrations, firmware updates or information on new refrigerant lists.
Technologies used
The mobile app was developed with the JavaScript framework React Native. This allowed the code to be used across all platforms. In addition to the app, the system also has an admin cockpit that is used from the browser. The back-end was developed with the Python framework Django and has an admin user interface and an API. The mobile app communicates via the API with the back-end server, which forms the connection to the database.
Step towards digitalisation
With the help of the app, REFCO can provide its customers with a tool that supports technicians in their daily tasks. The app also helps to increase the accuracy of measurement data, as it no longer has to be transferred manually. With the solution, REFCO is also taking an important step in the process of digitalisation.
