Create and distribute sustainability ratings digitally
Initial situation
In collaboration with Inrate, soxes has developed a web solution that generates sustainability ratings and makes them available to customers for download via a web account. An old MS Access database was replaced by a modern MS SQL database with an Angular/KendoUI front end. The ratings are based on a scalable model that is regularly updated via interfaces to financial data providers such as MSCI and Thomson Reuters. Data feeds for core banking systems such as Avaloq are also possible, ensuring seamless integration and accurate data management.
Challenge
One of the main goals of the solution was to enable analysts to expand the rating model independently. This was achieved through a flexible administration front end that allows adjustments to be made to hundreds of rating criteria without IT support. Decentralized processing at different locations is supported by web technology.
Solution
The customer portal launched in 2020 enables Inrate customers to access sustainability ratings in real time. This feature is particularly important for asset managers and financial service providers in order to keep sustainable portfolios up to date.
Result
Since going live in September 2020, soxes has been providing maintenance, support, and continuous development. The collaboration between soxes and Inrate has resulted in a flexible and innovative solution that enhances both the efficiency and autonomy of analysts.
