The dictionary for restaurateurs
Duboux wanted to make their translations efficiently available online in the spirit of digitalisation. Therefore, soxes was commissioned to develop a web application to manage all words and their translations. The application was to include a CMS for managing the words and offer users a simple and intuitive user interface.
New functions and design
The project was implemented in two phases. In the first, a full specification of all the desired functions and features of the application was made. In addition, the UI/UX team at soxes created a suitable design concept that would be user-friendly and appealing. In the second phase, the specifications were implemented by the development team and designed according to the design concept.
Technologies used
The web application was built according to the client-server principle. The user interface was implemented with the JavaScript front-end framework VueJS and other UI component libraries. In the background, a .NET core back-end works, which communicates with a SQL server database. In order to be able to operate the web application in a resource-saving and cost-effective manner, the database runs via the Azure cloud service.
Process optimisation through improved user interface
Thanks to the modern web solution, Duboux can easily manage the large collection of words and translations in a clear CMS. In addition, other users can be added and authorised to edit the word collection. With the new user interface, users find an intuitive tool to search for words, letters and abbreviations and in several languages
