More stability, better performance
Initial situation
The existing Java desktop application, the swissbiomechanics Organizational Portal (OP), supported biomechanical analyses and orthopaedic consultations, automated workflows, centralized data and provided strategic insights. However, this solution could no longer meet the increasing business demands and was experiencing performance instabilities.
The challenge
swissbiomechanics decided to modernize the organization portal or develop a new solution to meet increasing demands. Important goals were improved system stability, efficient data management and analysis as well as the integration of different organizational units.
In addition, the solution was to provide a data-based decision-making basis for marketing and reporting and automate work processes to optimize biomechanical analyses and consultations.
The solution
To meet the challenges, soxes developed a completely new web-based portal with a modern technology architecture:
- Frontend: Angular in combination with the ABP framework for an intuitive user interface and extended functionality.
- Backend: Node.js and ABP for a scalable and maintainable server logic.
- Infrastructure: Deployment on our KUBE-X platform to ensure a stable operating environment.
The portal enables step-by-step data entry for detailed customer assessments, including:
- Recording of customer data, medical history and symptoms
- Recording of static and dynamic measurements as well as foot scan screenshots
- Customizable corrections for targeted foot treatments
- Shoe recommendations
- Storage of all analysis data including attached documents
- Automated generation of medical reports with training and treatment recommendations

With the new solution, soxes supports swissbiomechanics in the digitalization of its work processes and enables efficient and patient-oriented advice based on the latest technologies.
