Pricing Tool
Powerful data processing for the banking cooperative
Raiffeisen’s Pricing Tool Empowers Autonomously Operating Banks
As a banking group, Raiffeisen provides its autonomously operating banks with all price information for foreign exchange, interest rates and securities. In this way, synergies can be used effectively. For this purpose, soxes has developed a central pricing tool with its experience in the insurance and finance sector for the Raiffeisen Group in cooperation with Dion Global Solutions. With the tool, different market data and information from providers such as Reuters or Bloomberg can be collected, validated and utilised. With the collected data, internal key figures can be calculated and then fed into the bank‘s core systems. Finally, all information and data can be viewed by the individual banks.
Java-Powered Pricing Tool – Versatile Application Capabilities
The pricing tool was developed with Java. Java offers many performance and security advantages in many respects. Thanks to the Java Virtual Machine, desktop applications can also be installed on any operating system. The user interface of the application was developed with the script language TCL/TK, which offers a very wide range of application possibilities. The script language, which was published in 1988, is rarely used nowadays and is therefore no longer very widespread.
Although the pricing tool was developed a few years ago, it is still in use day after day and continues to function perfectly. Since its launch, soxes has taken over the maintenance and support of the application. In addition, improvement requests and suggestions keep coming up, which are realised in smaller projects.
