soxes introduces: Senior Technical Team Lead Huy

How did you come to soxes?

Thomas Klauser met our colleague Pearl in Vietnam. Through a friend of hers I found out that they were looking for an employee. He then suggested me and now I have been with soxes for almost 13 years. I also met my wife Judy here. 

What is the biggest challenge in software development? 

It is especially important to keep up with technology. We must challenge ourselves with the latest technological trends and innovations every day and learn from them so that we can meet customer needs in the best and most efficient way. Also, there is no need to be afraid of numbers. We see a lot of them every day! But only by being patient and having fun at work can we achieve good performance. 

What is the best memory you have from your time at soxes?

When I started the job, I didn’t know anything about soxes. I didn’t know Thomas Klauser or Patrick Büchler, nor the other colleagues from Switzerland. I blindly went for the job. So there I was, sitting alone at a table in a big office. I will never forget how great it was to see more and more people joining us over the years. How our offices filled up and we were able to celebrate successes together. Today we have over 40 employees here in Vietnam. 

What do you like most about Switzerland?

It’s really a beautiful country, great nature and very friendly people. But what I like most is the exchange with our local colleagues. The former strangers have now become family. It is always nice to see each other in person.
