smartBSAzg

Efficient management of operating and safety equipment

The electrotechnical operating and safety equipment (BSA) on cantonal roads in the canton of Zug should be more intelligent and networked. All ESS elements on cantonal roads and in technical areas must be identifiable via a unique system of equipment identification (AKS).

Web-based coding simplifies the work

From the outset, all BSA elements in the canton of Zug were clearly marked. However, the existing coding had reached its limits. With the smartBSAzg solution, AKS coding is now managed centrally.

An AKS code consists of 14 segments in accordance with the AKS-ZG+ standard, which also enables dynamic coding of data points. Thanks to its experience in software development for the public sector, soxes was commissioned to develop smartBSAzg as a web-based application with multiple functions.

A central component is the BSA tool, which inventories all operational and safety equipment on cantonal roads. This allows all BSA elements to be efficiently recorded, managed and updated.

Data available at all times thanks to mobile app and flexible management

New and changed BSA data is automatically synchronized with peripheral systems. An XML-based interface ensures daily data synchronization. smartBSAzg manages the static master data and synchronizes it dynamically with connected SCADA systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) that monitor and control industrial systems and processes in real time.

Important functions of smartBSAzg:

  • Comprehensive user management: new users can be added easily and roles can be defined flexibly. This adaptability makes the system particularly versatile.
  • Mobile app for on-site access: With the mobile application from soxes, all recorded BSA data can be read in directly on site via a data matrix scan on the BSA signs.
  • Full-text search: A powerful search function enables fast and targeted information retrieval within the application.

Reliable operation and continuous further development by soxes

soxes has been operating and maintaining smartBSAzg for the Zug Civil Engineering Office since 2020. The solution is continuously developed to seamlessly integrate new requirements and technological advances. Close cooperation with the Civil Engineering Office ensures that smartBSAzg remains optimally adapted to the needs of the operation.
