A usability guideline or styleguide contains rules and concepts for the creation and design of user interfaces. Usability guidelines and style guides refer to generally accepted standards and recommendations for the use of graphical user interfaces (GUI). They are based primarily on empirical values but also on user behaviour models that have emerged from research. After the design process for an application, all important information is recorded in a style guide. This style guide is then used by the development team as the basis for designing the application.

What should be considered when using style guides?
As a developer of individual software, soxes focuses very much on the usability of applications. Our aim is to create user interfaces with the best possible user experience. The usability specialists and the design team at soxes create customer or project-specific style guides that sustainably improve the usability of an application. At the same time, however, a “corporate look and feel” remains within the applications.
